Yes yes, Halloween is next week and so starts the beginning of the end of 2019.  I don’t mean that as a bad thing!  On the contrary, it means fun, festivities, family and friends through the busy holiday season but also a new beginning and new decade starting on January 1st.  It hardly seems possible that we are on the edge of the year 2020.  Weren’t we supposed to be driving flying cars by now, living like the “Jetsons?”  Well isn’t it funny how time has a way of popping up and smacking us with reality.  Yes, we certainly are farther along in the technology world for sure!  While the cars can’t actually fly, they can parallel park by themselves while we sit there with our hands off the wheel.  And while texts and emails make it easier to communicate at 2:30 in the morning when something important we need to share pops into our minds, there is still nothing like a great phone conversation – or even better, an in-person visit.  So as we head into this busy season, remember, it’s the little things:  a hand written card vs. an e-card; a phone call saying a sincere “how are you?” rather than a text; a visit to drop off a plate of goodies and let them know you still care.  As this year (and 2nd decade of the 2000s) comes to a close, we wish you and yours an amazing holiday season!!
