Back To School Week!

We’re getting a nice little uptick in our local real estate market! I currently have 5 properties under contract, we’ve had some recent closings, AND I have new listings getting ready to hit the market. Buyers are still buying and sellers are still making moves!

Mortgage rates continue to hold fairly steady, with the latest national average for a 30-year fixed mortgage around 6.67%. Rates can change quickly and your individual rate will depend on several factors. Your best bet is to connect with a professional, local lender to help you with your specific situation.

School is back in session! That means busy mornings, buses on the roads and kids walking and biking to school. Please slow down in school zones, watch carefully at crosswalks and bus stops, and remember to STOP for school buses when those red lights are flashing. A few extra seconds of patience can make a big difference in keeping our kids safe.

And just because school has started doesn’t mean summer fun is over! We still have plenty happening around the Western Slope, including The Sweet Corn Fest and the Ouray County Rodeo over Labor Day weekend. Be sure to follow my Facebook and Instagram pages — I’ll keep sharing fun local events and things to do as we head toward fall.

Whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, investing, or you’re simply curious about what your property might be worth in today’s market, give me a call! I’m always happy to answer questions and help you figure out your next move.

Have a wonderful week, Western Slope!
