22 Jun Beat The Heat
Summer is definitely making itself known here on the Western Slope! The heat continues, along with Red Flag Warnings across much of our area. We are seeing a slight chance of thunderstorms in the coming days, and while we desperately need the moisture, we’re all hoping for rain and not the lightning that can bring additional fire danger. Please stay safe, stay hydrated, and keep an eye on the weather conditions.
The real estate market is staying active despite the heat! If you’ve been waiting for mortgage rates to improve, there is a little good news. Rates have edged down slightly in recent weeks as financial markets react positively to developments overseas. While we aren’t seeing the dramatic drops many buyers hoped for, a small improvement is certainly welcome and may provide a little extra buying power for those ready to make a move.
Speaking of escaping the heat – have you seen this beautiful lot in Arrowhead? (pictured above) We recently had a fantastic price improvement, and with summer temperatures generally much cooler than the valley, it’s the perfect place to beat the heat. Park your camper here all summer surrounded by pine trees, lots of fishing and cool evening air while everyone else is searching for shade!
Before you know it, Independence Day weekend will be here! The 4th of July festivities are shaping up to be a lot of fun with parades, balloon fest, fireworks, and community events happening throughout the area. Be sure to follow our Facebook and Instagram pages for updates on local events, market news, featured properties, and all the fun happening around Western Colorado.
