28 Jul Did You Go To The Fair?

What a wonderful week celebrating the 140th Montrose County Fair & Rodeo! From the parade and livestock shows to the rodeos, carnival and Junior Livestock Auction, it was another great reminder of what makes our community so special. A huge thank you to all the volunteers, 4-H families and everyone who helped make it such a success!

Now it’s Delta County’s turn! The Delta County Fair & Rodeo kicks off this weekend in Hotchkiss and runs through August 9. With rodeos, livestock shows, concerts, a parade, community BBQ and plenty of family fun, it’s another great Western Slope tradition you won’t want to miss.

After several weeks slowed by wildfire activity and smoky skies, we’re seeing buyers becoming more active again. Showings are picking up, new listings are moving, and many buyers are jumping back into the market as we head toward fall.

Thirty-year fixed mortgage rates are currently averaging around 6.6%. Rates remain a little higher because inflation has been stubborn and bond markets continue reacting to economic uncertainty. Even so, buyers are adjusting, inventory has improved, and homes that are priced well are still selling.
