06 Jul Happy 250th America!

I hope you and your family had a wonderful Independence Day weekend celebrating America’s 250th birthday! While there were parades, the balloon fest and family BBQs our hearts continue to be with the firefighters and communities battling the wildfires across Colorado and the West.
The combination of extreme heat, gusty winds, drought and very little rain has created dangerous fire conditions. Thousands of acres have already burned across Colorado, with multiple large fires across the state. Smoke has also created poor air quality across most of the area, reminding us just how quickly these fires can impact all of us. Even with fireworks bans, there were still reports of fireworks being used over the holiday. Let’s all do our part to protect our beautiful state by being extra cautious during these dry summer months. Please continue to keep the firefighters and everyone affected in your thoughts and prayers.
On the real estate front, I am thrilled to report two closings last week! Buyers and sellers are still making moves, and while the market has become a little more balanced, well-priced properties continue to attract strong interest. Mortgage rates are currently hovering around the upper 6% range, and many buyers are finding that now is still a great time to purchase.
If you’re looking for a break from the valley heat, don’t forget about our beautiful lots in Arrowhead! Higher elevations offer cooler temperatures, fresh mountain air, and the perfect opportunity to build your dream cabin or enjoy your own mountain getaway. I’d love to show you what’s currently available.
As always, whether you’re thinking about buying, selling, curious about your home’s value, or just have questions about today’s market, I’m always happy to help. Give me a call anytime – I’m here for you!
