22 Apr Happy Earth Day 2024!

In honor of Earth Day, I thought I would share some of the beauty here in Western Colorado. These are a few of the flowers I see around the yard. The flowering trees and bushes have blooms starting too. Maybe with the sunshine and warmer temps, I can share some of those pictures next week. Yesterday here on the Western Slope was absolutely beautiful. Sunny, warm and a day without wind – it was great! Depending on which weather you check, the temperatures on the Western Slope today are supposed to be near record high. It’s always great to see the flowers in bloom, trees start to leaf out and grass greening up. Of course in the background you can see the snow capped mountain tops too.
Well, it does appear that mortgage rates are going to stay up for the foreseeable future. Here’s the latest information from “Money.” In addition to the mortgage rates not going down, neither are property prices. While this is great news if you are selling and don’t need to buy anything to replace what you’re selling, it is not so great news for folks who are trying to buy. The one thing I will tell you is that it is better to get started on the process NOW, rather than wait and hope that things will change. If the rates go down and you have a higher rate, you can look at doing a refi. If prices on homes go down, you have instant equity. It can be a complicated maze to navigate, so make sure you get in touch with me so I can review all the options with you.
Make sure you are following me on Facebook or Instagram. There are a lot of great things going on here this coming weekend all up and down the Western Slope. The Delta Spring Expo, a car show, a flea market and bazaar in Montrose and more! Let me know if you have anything you’d like me to share there as well.
So I hope you have a wonderful Earth Day and a great week ahead!
