Happy Flag Day! AND Happy Birthday to the US Army too! We salute our flag and the Army today and every day. From the Army’s humble beginnings as an amateur force of colonial troops, cobbled together from various militia, to its status today as the largest branch in the U.S. military, the Army has seen it all, from the Revolutionary War to conflicts in Iraq and Afghanistan. In keeping with the patriotic theme, there’s a free concert from the 101st Army Band in Montrose next Monday.
The summer heat is in full swing and this week we have some severe heat warnings with some days reaching temps over 100 degrees. This means keeping pets and kids safe and out of the heat as much as possible. Be safe and stay cool!
This gorgeous sunshine may be giving you the urge to head to the islands… But if you can’t quite swing the trip right now, head up to Cedaredge on the 26th for some island music with Jack Mosley. Jack has performed all over the United States and the Caribbean.
