Hello October!

Hello October!  And in true Colorado style, it’s chilly and rainy today on the Western Slope.  The foliage is still mostly green here in the valley but the high country colors are on the fast track and in full swing.  If you’re thinking of taking a drive to get some pix of the leaves and beautiful colors, you better hurry before they’re all gone.

This is a great time of year here in Western Colorado!  Fall fun and festivities are scheduled and there will be lots to do – both inside and out.  DeVries Produce is opening their corn maze, straw bale maze and pumpkin patch starting this next weekend.  They will have their 17th Annual Punkin Chunkin’ on October 26thApplefest up in Cedaredge is this weekend too.  Classic car show, live music, vendors and lots of fun for the whole family.  The Black Canyon Astronomical Society is having a star gazing at Confluence Lake in Delta on October 11th. The Scarecrow Festival will be in Montrose at the Botanical Gardens on October 14-15th and should be a great time for the kids.  Also on October 15th, you can head to Hotchkiss for the First Annual Fiber Fair.   The Victory Baptist Church is having their Fall Family Festival on October 20th.  Make sure you’re following my Facebook and Instagram pages to get more updates.  Oh – if you have something that you’d like me to help you advertise, get in touch with me and give me the details.

Sad news is that interest rates went up again but inventory is still pretty low.  So another good news/bad news situation.  If you’re thinking about buying or selling property here on the Western Slope, please call me.  I love helping people with their real estate needs!

I wish you a happy Monday and an awesome October!!!

PS – as I promised last week, here are some pix of the colors up County Road 5, just outside Ridgway!
