30 Aug Hello September!

Hard to believe it is almost September!  School has started along most of the Western Slope, sunflowers are in full bloom and being harvested along with the sweet corn and other end of summer produce, and there’s a tinge of a chill in the air telling us that fall is on the way.  We are still feeling summer temps during the day, though.  Today the Western Slope will be up to high 80’s and low 90’s!

Here are a few of our favorites that are this week and they are free!

The Montrose Summer Concert Series hosts the last free live music concert of the season this Friday.  Or you can enjoy the Friday Happy Hour free concert in Cedaredge.  And of course the Farmers’ Markets are going on in Delta, Montrose and Ridgway on their respective days – free admittance and great chance to shop local.  Another thing folks need to remember – the local breweries and wineries will usually have a free tasting or inexpensive “flight” samples if you’re interested in trying something new.
