Hot and Windy – Fire Danger is Real

Last week it actually got warm (hot) here on the Western Slope.  Then Friday was cloudy and rainy and now back to hot with a lot of wind again.  Colorado is under a Red Flag Warning for fire danger.  I even got a notice from Ouray County that they have instituted a burn ban.  So from one extreme to the other – typical Colorado weather.

Mortgage rates are mostly holding steady with Freddie Mac showing another slight decrease this week again.  According to Money  “Prospective homebuyers got a little bit of good news today as Freddie Mac’s benchmark mortgage rate survey showed rates easing for the second week in a row.”  If you are thinking of buying property, please get in touch with me so that I can help you find a local lender that specializes in the loan that will work best for you.  Don’t forget, there are some first time buyer programs available as well.  Let me help advise you on which route might be best for you.

If you think you might want to have a spot in the mountains to bring your camper or tent to relax in, let me know!  I have a great lot for sale in Arrowhead and there are several others currently available as well.  There are also some homes for sale in that area.  My husband I love to escape up to Arrowhead for the weekend as much as we can.

Don’t forget to follow my Facebook and Instagram pages to see some of the happenings here on the Western Slope.  Lots of free music, farmers markets and fun outings that are great for the whole family.  Have a wonderful week!
