14 Aug It’s Not Fall Yet!

It’s mid August and “monsoon season” is here. A lot of years, it means strong winds and thunderstorms in the afternoons or even overnight. This year (so far) we have seen only some storm clouds form in the afternoon with very occasional rain. Some thunder to bother the puppy dogs from time to time. That’s here in Montrose, Delta and Mesa Counties. Ouray County is seeing a bit more rain and down further south in Telluride and Durango, they seem to be getting some good showers as well from time to time.
While we had a very nice, wet winter and spring, this summer has been hot and things are drying out quickly. That brings fire danger with it. You can check the Forest Service site for up to date fire and restriction information.
Both Delta and Montrose Counties had their first day of school today. Make sure you’re checking out my August Vision Views for some awesome “Back to School Tips.” Remember to follow the rules of the road for school buses and keep an eye out for kids along the roads.
There are still plenty of things to do outside in August and even into September. Are you following my Facebook and Instagram pages? I try to post current events to keep you updated. If you have something you’d like me to share for you, get in touch.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if you have any real estate questions I can help with. Have a great rest of the summer!!
