Melancholy Mortgage Message

Well we start this week’s blog off with news of mortgage rates.  “With two months left of this historically busy period, potential homebuyers will likely not see relief from rising rates anytime soon,” Sam Khater, Freddie Mac’s chief economist, said in a press release.  You can read the rest of the article from Money by clicking here.

So if you are thinking of buying a home, you really need to get in touch with me to discuss your options.  I can get you in touch with a reliable, professional local lender who can help you get pre-qualified.  Then, once we know what you can afford, I can take a look at the available properties here on the Western Slope and we can start looking for your perfect property.  With the news of mortgage rates not relenting and going down anytime soon, we should move sooner rather than later to get you into your place.  I love helping buyers and I look forward to hearing from you soon!!

Well winter snow fell up at Arrowhead this weekend as well as some other mountain areas.  The wind is “blowing a gale” and it’s cloudy and chilly again.  Welcome to spring in Colorado.  I have a friend who went 4-wheeling on Saturday and said they got to experience all 4 seasons that day – yes including snow.  As they say though, if you don’t like the weather here on the Western Slope, wait 5 minutes and it will change.

There were lots of fiestas for Cinco de Mayo this past weekend.  Did you get out and enjoy any of them?  Follow me on Facebook and Instagram for other fun events that are coming up.  This is a great area to enjoy lots of fun – especially if you love being outdoors.  Have a great week!
