28 Aug Mortgage Rates Are Up Again

Did you see that the interest rates went up – AGAIN? That means NOW is the time to buy! You may think I’m crazy but there are several good reasons for buying a property right now. Higher rates = less competition from other buyers. If you do buy now, you’ll be paying down your loan while building equity. Plus, if rates go down in the future, you can look at refinancing to lower your payment. I have a more detailed article about this on my Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn social media sites. Or, just give me a call and we can talk about it further.
If you’re here on the Western Slope, you can feel that the season is about to change. At night and early mornings it’s getting down into the 50’s (cooler in the higher elevations) and when the breeze blows, you can feel fall coming. Of course the days are still mostly sunny and warm, but us locals can feel the change coming. (Much sooner than my assistant would like! LOL)
This coming weekend is Labor Day weekend and the official “end” of summer. If you’re around the Western Slope, there’s plenty going on. You can check out the Labor Day Rodeo at the Ouray County Fairgrounds (in Ridgway). On the 3rd Fellin Park in Ouray has the Music and Makers Fest. The Farmers Markets all up and down Western Colorado are in full force and the harvest is great. Not to mention the family BBQ’s, outdoor recreation and great places to visit here.
I wish you a wonderful week and a happy, safe Labor Day weekend!
