09 Nov Old Man Winter Comes to Colorado

Well winter is hitting us here in Colorado. It will mostly get the mountains and the Front Range, but we still have our share of it here on the Western Slope. The photo above is for Southwestern Colorado about 2 hours south of us here in the Montrose area. But the winter storm is hitting all over the state. So far, Delta has not had snow yet and Montrose has had only a little skiff. Ridgway seems to be snowing steady so far. So considering it is now the second week of November we can’t complain too much about getting winter weather. We have had one storm before this, but for the most part it has been a beautiful Indian Summer.
Now we are really starting to see the holiday preparations.
An often overlooked holiday, Veteran’s Day gives vets a free breakfast at the Elks Lodge in Montrose. They will also give out coats, blankets and other winter gear to those who need it.
This Friday, the 13th is a Sip and Sniff to enjoy and check out potential Christmas décor and gifts.
The Ute Indian Museum is offering a hands-on Thanksgiving Crafts Class for folks who want to make some fun decorations for the Thanksgiving table.
We are still having real estate – both buyers and sellers – so contact us today with any questions you may have. We are keeping busy but happy to help you too! And check out our Facebook page with regular updates to community events we find around Western Colorado.
