Spring has Sprung!

We are in full on spring with all that it brings here in Western Colorado.  The high, gusty winds, freezing over night and up into the 50’s during the afternoons.  It did snow overnight on Friday into Saturday morning, the past weekend – even in the valley.  Just a little skiff but still…  The San Juan Mountains are all white capped right now – which is great for our water supply.  It is definitely cold in the mornings but usually by noon it has warmed up nicely.  Then the winds kick in and wreak havoc with everyone who has allergies.  On the bright side, the tulips, daffodils and jonquils are blooming as are the flowering bushes like my forsythias.  Even the grass has started to green up and the trees have buds on them.  I love this time of year here on the Western Slope!

Time for the “not-so-great” news – mortgage rates are not coming down as we had hoped.  They are not over 7% right now but they aren’t going below 6%.  You can click here for some updated information.

We are seeing more homes come up for sale here on the Western Slope, but not a lot.  Prices are staying pretty level too – there’s not a big drop in prices even with the higher mortgage rates.  So that means you’ll need someone to help you navigate the market.  Whether you are buying or selling, make sure to get in touch with me.

Happy Monday and have a great week!
