07 Aug Still Fun in the Sun this Summer

Well last week flew by for me.  My daughter and her family were in town for the week and we had a great visit!  Spent some time up at Arrowhead, on the Mesa and down in Ouray.  It was lots of fun but now they had to return home so the kids can get ready for school to start.

Even with school starting soon here on the Western Slope and summer winding down, there are lots of great events coming up to get out and enjoy the beautiful Colorado sunshine.

This weekend the “FUNC” Fest in Montrose is great for the whole family.  Complete with water sports competitions, a paddle board parade, food trucks, beer garden and live music.

Do you love bacon??  Saturday afternoon at Kinikin Processing get out and enjoy the Bacon Cook Off from 1pm-4pm.

Friday, the Delta Family Center is having their back to school carnival from 4pm – 6pm.

Saturday morning in Ridgway, get out and enjoy the Annual Pancake Breakfast fundraiser for the fire department.  Starts bright and early at 7:30am at the firehouse.

Friday evening in Cedaredge the free summer concert music series continues with music starting at 6pm.

Saturday evening in Delta you can enjoy the free concert with the Robidoux Pickin’ Music Series at the old Fort Uncompahgre – music at 7pm.
