04 Aug Summer Fun This Weekend!

Can you believe it’s already August? That means families are squeezing in every last bit of summer fun before classes begin. Delta and Montrose County students head back to school on August 17. Best wishes to all the students, teachers, staff, and parents for a fantastic school year!

Before summer slips away, make sure you enjoy some of the great events happening around the Western Slope this weekend! Montrose hosts FUNC Fest with live music, vendors, food, and exciting river fun; Ridgway Rendezvous with mountain-town fun, and there are even unique community events like the Adult Prom happening. The market continues to move! I just put another property under contract in Ridgway, proving that well-priced homes and land are still attracting buyers. If you’ve been wondering whether now is the right time to buy or sell, I’d be happy to visit about today’s market and what your property may be worth.

Mortgage Rates are currently hovering in the mid-to-upper 6% range. While rates haven’t dropped, buyers are adapting, and many are choosing to move forward.

Thankfully, cooler temperatures and some recent moisture have helped firefighters make progress on several Western Slope fires. While fire danger remains elevated and conditions can change quickly, the situation has improved compared to earlier this summer. Please use caution if you’re spending time outdoors.
