03 Jun Summer Has Arrived on the Western Slope!

I think it’s safe to say summer is officially here! We’ve traded spring jackets for sunglasses, and temperatures across the Montrose area are expected to climb well into the 80s this week. After a long winter and a wet spring, it’s wonderful to see blue skies, green landscapes, and plenty of sunshine making an appearance.

The summer real estate market is in full swing as well! I’ve written two new contracts in just the past few days, and buyers and sellers are actively making moves. On a personal note, my amazing assistant is currently off on a two-month road trip adventure with her mom. While I’m thrilled she’s getting to make those memories, it also means things are a little extra busy around here! 😄 If I’m slower than usual getting back to you, know that I’m working hard and will return your call as quickly as possible.

Mortgage rates have remained fairly steady, with national 30-year fixed rates averaging around the mid-6% range this week. While rates aren’t where many buyers would love them to be, they’re still below the highs we saw in previous years, and there are some excellent financing programs available through local lenders that can help make home ownership more affordable.
