The Downhill Side of Summer

Tomorrow is Christmas in July or 5 months till the big day in December.  Here in Western Colorado, we are still quite hot and sunny so we’re not thinking about Christmas too much.  There are some places that will be having some sales, but mostly we are seeing “back to school” as the big thing right now.  It’s unbelievable that it is almost time for the kiddos to head back to the classrooms.

Before school, though, we have Fair Time!!  This past weekend was the 100th Annual Deltarado Days celebration in Delta.  Everyone enjoyed the party, parade, live music and carnival.  This year included the “T-Rex” race with several sponsors and lots of participants dressed up like the dinosaur.  (see photo)  It was fun to watch and makes you appreciate the small towns and all they have to offer.  Make sure you’re following my Facebook and Instagram pages where I have links posted to the various fairs and festivals coming up in the next month or so.

Real estate is still moving although the mortgage rates aren’t helping anything right now.  We did see several new listings come on the market over the weekend along with several more going under contract.  So if you’re looking to sell – it’s a sellers’ market right now.  If you’re looking to buy, don’t be discouraged – call me!  There are still good options available for buyers, so let me help you find them.

Have a great week and stay cool out there!
