The “Fed” and Rates – What’s Up?

Thanks to Wil with Cornerstone Home Lending for sharing this article with us.  Maybe it will help give you some insight on what’s going on with interest rates at the moment.

We are starting to see real estate activity increase slightly this month.  We are seeing more buyers start to look again and sellers who are motivated are reducing prices to try and sell their property more quickly.  Let me know if I can answer any of your real estate questions – I’m here to help!

Still plenty of things to do around the Western Slope – especially if you love winter outdoor activity.  We have seen snow blanket the valleys and cover the mountains over the last week.  So if you’re interested in skiing, (cross country and downhill), snowshoeing or any of the other great things to do in winter, you can find the opportunity to do it just a short drive away.  The Grand Mesa has over 60 inches in some areas and the San Juans boast 200 inches in spots while Arrowhead has over 2 feet and you can get to these spots in less than an hour, depending on where you start.  While we didn’t really have a white Christmas, January is making up for it so far.

Make sure you’re following me on social media to see some of the upcoming events. You can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Google and LinkedIn.  And for sure mark your calendar to head to Ridgway for the Skijoring coming up this weekend.  Great fun for the competitors and spectators alike!  Have a good week!
