06 Dec Time to Deck the Halls!

Are you all decorated??  Here we are in the first full week of December with really no snow here in Western Colorado to speak of.  The San Juan Mountains to the south have snow caps, but the Grand Mesa is really pretty bare of snow.  While we here in the valley enjoy not having to drive in the “white stuff,” the mountains REALLY need to get some snow for our annual water supply.  But all hope is not lost – snow is scheduled in the forecast for the next few days.  Of course we never know till it starts to fly, but snow is projected and so we can hope!  It just goes to show, that we really are the “banana belt” of Colorado here.

There are lots of great Christmas events already happening here.  This past weekend had several Parades of Lights and there are more fun things to come.  Make sure you follow our Facebook page to see a lot of the events coming up.

And don’t miss the many opportunities available to give back.  There are several chances to help provide food for families, toys for kids and help for the homeless.  Or maybe you know of someone you can help directly.
