12 Feb Valentines Week 2024

Here on the Western Slope this morning, it is bright blue skies with gorgeous sunshine. It gets below freezing over night but we are expecting highs all this week of mid 40’s to low 50’s. Not too bad considering it is mid-February in Colorado! It is one of the reasons I love living on the Western Slope – it is the banana belt of Colorado. But March is coming and that is usually one of our biggest snow months so we aren’t out of the “winter wood” yet.
We are seeing some more movement in the real estate market here. I am currently working with several buyers and have a few new listings coming up in the next few months. Make sure you check back to my featured listings regularly. Or you can always search the entire MLS database for free on my website. Just give me a call if you have questions about buying or selling property – I’d be happy to help!
Are you planning something special this Wednesday for the big Valentine’s Day celebration? There are several options around the Western Slope for those who are looking for something fun, romantic, unique or different. Check my Facebook and Instagram pages for some of the options.
Mortgage rates were slightly higher last week. This week rates could move either way, depending on how the inflation data comes out. If inflation moves lower, markets will expect the Fed to react by cutting rates sooner this year and that would help mortgage rates move lower this week. However, if the inflation readings don’t come in low enough, it could spook markets to listen to the Fed’s message that it wants to hold rates longer, and that would push mortgage rates up as much as .25%. Thanks to Robin and Jennifer with Ambassador Mortgage Group for this update.
I look forward to hearing from you soon and being able to help. Have a very Happy Valentine’s Day with the one(s) you love!
