Happy Independence Day Week!

Happy Independence Day Week!

It’s the end of June coming up to the big mid-summer Independence Day holiday weekend.  We are in the midst of stage 1 fire restrictions over most of the state but recent rains have helped to give us so much needed moisture.  In fact, so much so in the higher country that there was a giant mud slide in Glendwood Canyon that closed I-70 Sunday (yesterday) and still through most of today.  There was also some flooding in the Montrose/Olathe area from the rains the past few days.  So welcome to Colorado!  It can be sunny and hot one minute and rains with flooding and mudslides the next.  But it is still a wonderful place to live, work and play.  And we are still seeing a lot of buying and selling of real estate here on the Western Slope so let us help you with your questions.  We offer free consultations for both buyers and sellers so don’t try to “go it alone.”  We are happy to help!

This week as well as the holiday weekend gives us lots of fun things to do.  There ARE some areas that are tentatively planning fireworks shows but it is all dependent on the fire danger.  You can find some things to do on our Facebook page – which we try to keep current with updates.

But you can also check the local chambers of commerce and city websites to see what info they have posted.  We wish you a wonderful week and a very happy and safe holiday weekend.  Happy Independence Day!
