September 1st has come and gone and with it brought fresh snow to some of the mountains of Colorado. Here in Western Colorado, specifically the San Juan Mountains near Silverton and Telluride.
Days are still warm but the evenings and nights are starting to get that crisp fall air feel to them. The change of seasons is on its way and we look forward to the beautiful fall colors. Annual Color Sunday has yet to be announced but they are saying it’s possibly going to be delayed this year due to warmer temperatures. But usually by mid to late September you can see some of the changes starting. Take a drive around and see if you can get some great photos! Here are 12 scenic drives to enjoy.
Here in our local towns, you still have lots to keep you busy. The Farmer’s Markets are still open and lots of fresh produce is available now for the picking. There’s various live music and movies all up and down the Western Slope. Check out my Facebook page to see some of the upcoming events.
