15 Feb Winter Fun to Be Had!
We had a little winter storm over the weekend here in Western Colorado. In the Delta area, they got about 3-4 inches of snow. Montrose got anywhere from 5-8 and down south in Ridgway/Ouray, they got close to the foot or more mark. Gotta love the mountains! The closer you get, the more snow you can enjoy. And the mountains still need plenty of snow but this was a great addition to what’s already there.
But don’t think we are just huddled inside under blankets! There are plenty of things to enjoy outdoors while you’re here in Western Colorado.
Spend time in the back country with San Juan Huts. They still have availability for the winter. They offer summer mountain bike trips which fill up quickly, so call now to reserve your spot for winter or summer fun.
The Cedaredge Library has a fleet of snowshoes available to borrow. The mission of this partnership program is to provide affordable access to high-quality winter recreation equipment to Delta County residents of all ages as a gateway to winter recreation activities. Great budget friendly fun for the whole family!
